Hi, I am a 51 year old autistic woman whose book, Being Seen, was published in the United Sates last year and just came out in France on June 16!
I was born in France and now live in California. Other than being about autism, my memoir is also about being a mother, a French immigrant and a Zen student, it is informed by my zen practice. Today I work daily to help people understand autism of the kind that I experienced, and to let people know the value of basic meditative practice in living, and thriving, with autism. Last year I started a monthly meditation group for people on the autism spectrum, and my partner and I have been organizing a yearly mediation retreat in the mountains for the past 5 years - also for people on the autism and neurodiverse spectrum. (you can read about it here)
You can find more information about the book on my website, anlordavin.com. So far I have received pretty good feedback for my book, and not just by friends and family members! My Amazon page has some pretty amazing reviews.
I look forward to hearing from you! Amicably, Anlor
